Thats magnetism, not anti-gravity. It may look like it, but its not.
Magnetism can be an attractive or repulsive force according to polarity, and falls off as the square of the distance from the field source. So 3 times as far = 9x as weak a field, which makes it almost useless for doing more than hovering a small distance above a surface.
Gravity is a purely attractive force (as far as we know so far), and so far the only way to make it is to have a mass around. Given that we're sitting right next to the earths mass of 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kilograms (literally !), its kind of hard to notice any gravity field we are capable of producing.
Sorry, I'm not trying to be picky, but magnetism is no more anti-gravity than an aeroplane is.. Its important to understand that since Anti-gravity is a favourite subject of fringe-physics-nuts who probably dont even know what 9.8m/s/s is.
Besides, given that 90% of our robots are powered by magnetic fields in one way or another, its relevant info.. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people
