Edge one definitely. Probably not worth it for the ant one. And hold off for August @ this stage _________________ Steven Martin

November 5th - Nationals Sidetracked (VIC)
November 5th is a Monday... The weekend is 3rd/4th, which is only a couple of days before the Melbourne cup.
Possibly better to look at the 10th/11th or 17th/18th?
How does that sit with uni time tables and other events? _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
Officially locked in nationals. Did we want to do a just antweight event @ my place in next few weeks? Would be good to have a chat as per Nationals plans and stuff as a "club" and discuss how we should do this.
Also if we have enough people entering 2 robots. I would be interested in trying out a 2 pools event. We may potentially also have people with cameras around.
Also still looking at just feather event was hoping to find venue in Ipswich area keen to host it but haven't found one yet.

Ant event at your joint sounds good!
Will do some asking around for an Ip Pre nationals feather event ....what dates are ya thinking? We don't need money for that just a venue right? _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

Sounds like a plan. I could build a second. Is it possible to have all the spinners in one pool? I would run Abaddon in the spinner round and the other robot in the second pool. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems
I am not 100% on pooling. Main reason for pooling is you can't drive or maintain 2 robots at once.
I was thinking more along the lines of random (drawn out of hat) allocation with any teams/drivers wishing to have 2 robots in different pools able to do so.
The other reason to have pools is to seed robots, so we don't get the most spectacular fights up first. So for example if we were to run 2 pools we would have prev 1st 3rd in one and 2nd and 4th in other.
I am not really keen to divide them up based on robot class ATM. that's not really the point of the pools. And if we have only < half spinners which other unlucky robots get put in there. It may also lead to quite a few boring wedge on wedge fights. I know we all would prefer not to fight scarlet until finals but I think random is a lot more fair.
The exception to this which might be worthwhile is a spinerless pool for new robots or beginners. Could also potentially allow walker/artistic bots in this section but ATM I do t we have enough new robots to support a third pool for beginners. _________________ Steven Martin
