I haven't got a reply yet. Actually I never get replies from any places I send quotes to. Can someone send me a copy of thier first emails so I can see why people don't reply to me? I have a feeling its either my poor comunication skills or my .co.uk email address.

With both of those, they probably just write you off as some spammer wasting their time. Try using your email address from your ISP and run spell check a few times Otherwise, if your in a rush, pick up the phone and ask if they have received your request for quotation. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

As aaron said, most places you get best luck using a .com.au or isp address and supplying clean, correct dxf files with a jpg with dimensions for quick comparison.
... Got that reply yet glen?

ok, if I don't hear anything today I'll make a new email address. I ran the axe through the FEA and came out out with a small mod that needs updating in the dxf.
I mentioned before I can't call. Waiting a week for an email if faster then me making a phone call.

+1 for the sketch with dimensions so they can see everything is ok.
Also you are just giving them a 2d curve right?
the sketch is also good as it can help show them which bits you want ;-> _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

I got my quote back from AWC too. $600, so a lot more money but it is about 30kg of bisalloy. They also seem to have no problem with 10mm holes in 10mm plate. Unfortuantly Inventor rescaled my dxf by a pooftinth so just getting that sorted and dxf's need to be saved in 2005 or previous.

Let me know its my file - I used the same settings that worked perfectly for Whyachi, but there are heaps of different options I can use if needed.
