have you tried looking around at other places first, usually this is last resort if you cant find them anywhere else.
Steel can be picked up from anywhere.
you can get your own disks or blades made fairly cheap from oxycut.
you can get cheap timing pulleys and belts from here
http://www.automotsys.com.au/nuova.html
bearings and whatnot you can try cbc bearings or conbear i think they are called.
power switch can be gotten from any electrical place dicksmiths, jaycar etc for like $1.
scooter motors can be sourced from oatley electronics but i think they are out of stock atm
cant help you on the uhmw part as im struggling to find some for cheap myself but you could try ebay if your lucky.
bunnings sell a cheap welder iirc.
hope that helps you a little, just cant expect everyone to just be willing to sell their stuff, first rule throw nothing away as itll be useful one day _________________ Barton Robotics Youtube Channel:

As dylon said best to look around first and also read the forum for places to buy stuff before posting here or starting a thread.
drills most people use the DSE ones taht are now $37.
I think the bunnings xu1s are $30 when avalible but shops do not seam to keep a constant suply.
The dse aer 900rmp and 18v
i think the xu1 are 500rpm and 14.4v
UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) mounts i made mine out of some cutting board, jigsaw and 2 m6 fasteners per side. that went up well at robowars
power switch read
http://www.robowars.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1162 for a segested power switch or you can use a removable link like brett said as long as you can disconnect power in under 60 seconds.
That is how i did one of my bots at robowars. the Hella switch is how i did the other one.
Fan motors from an auto reckers eg http://www.pick-a-part.com.au/ in melb i think some said was a good place. there are heaps of threads about fan motors on the forum. there are other car reckers around. some may let you buy parts.
Check around the forum some more it might give a few ideas of where to source parts and the just wondering thread seams to be useful to find out something on a paticular part needed instead of starting threads. that or a build thread.
Scootor motors Cell Damage has 24v 100w motors avalible. they powered reboots weapon and that bot is number 1 in the rankings by a long way.
oatley ectronics apear to have 300w scooter motors avalible and the 250w geared motors (Gary has had trouble with them for drives but might be ok for a weapon) _________________ Remember to trust me, I am an Engineer.

There's a car yard in Victoria, a bit of a long drive from Melbourne, I'll see if I can get the address, my dad got me my fan motor there and I need to go there anyway to get a new one. _________________ It seemed like a good idea on paper...

how does the service actually work? are there certain sections that you can only go in for certain parts and what are the prices like?
is there a trusted/beefy fan motor or do people just use whatever they've got?
i'm luke by the way _________________ http://au.youtube.com/user/crustydemonsully
