I remember competeing against a guy in a game (not robowars) a few years back and the win was mine...but for the love of the challenge, I made a deliberate move to re-open the chances. He couldn't understand why I had done it and was so very annoyed, it took him some days to settle down about it. Even going to the trouble of discussing it with another guy...who then took time out to further explain to me that what I had done was a no no as far as competing against men went. OH, REALLY? Mr I.G - you need to speak with your daddy and tell him that giving away chances for a win, regardless of the reasons, ( three times now, on three different occassions) makes Scoopy want to rev her saw and cut his... extention off
@ Aaron......Well done!! You totally blew me away with MBX. It's further development is something I look forward to seeing. Great effort !!

Thanks to everyone who made the effort to come to Robowars 6. I believe the quality of the event was by far the best we have ever had - builders are becoming more inventive, drivers are becoming more skilled, and robots are becoming bigger piles of expensive scrap metal (and plastic). AHHH - I love the smell of discharging ni-cad in the morning!!!
A special note to Brett - who sacrificed the win, for the sake of the sport - but then again - I am not surprised because that is the type of competitior he is - he did it for the sport - and the spectators. As 'main' judge - I think next time we will have an understanding of a count-out - after which the event is decided, and the competitors can carry on after that, but the result is not changed. I think a perfect result would have been if the prize money was halved - would have been a fitting end to a fantastic comp.
To the winner the spoils - and thanks for a great competition. We look forward to Robowars 7 in 2010.
