SideTrack's arena has 8 panels.
Each panel is about 2000 H x 2500 W
with 8 panels of the same size you could configure the same shape or a square.
Add 2 more panels then you have a rectangle.
Each panel uses 1 sheet of 6mm pespex and a half sheet of 5mm checker plate. Plus frame
With the robots around now, just sliding the perspex into a wood frame that is slotted. I believe that if the pespex was hit, it would flex and pop out of the slot.
The pespex will need to be bolted to the frame.
As well as wood frameing may not be ascepted by the insures.
The netting at SideTrack (please correct me if I'm wrong) is shade sail netting. there are mobs that make to suit..
For sponsors
Chat to a bunnings store. They may be interested.
I'll chat to some of my contacts. _________________ It's all about the destruction.

Get some material about the Brisbane Robowars as an example. Spockie organised a great event that had big public attendance, didn't cause the organisers any problems, got good promotion and reviews in the media and was asked back for the next Brisbane event. Thta's pure promo gold!
If you can show all that and say your event "will be just like that" then the Adelaide organisers will be more interested. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

The perspecs will probably be as dear as poison ,and I'm not sure how much the steel will be eather because we'll brobably need sh*$ loads of both, then it needs to be bolted togeher some how.
maybe if we could get a company to sponsor it we could offer to but there stickers on the panels on the bottom
and what sorta steel should be used? angle,RHS,ect
it would be great to have robowars in SA Just what we need, more people wrecking other peoples things

Worth letting you know that perspex probably aint the best idea, will shatter so easily.
Polycarbonate is needed for a proper arena,,, and is even more pricy! _________________ ( •_•)

At the moment we are treating it like a mirror and looking into it.
I have contacted the people from science week and Ajax has got a price on the polycarb.
Just wondering if anyone would like to come down to SA for an event?
Because if we were going to look into hosting an event we would need some competitors. . . . for some reason
