Ha! I remember you showing us that!
Well, being new to building robots, the worst injury I got (so far) was when I drove my out of control test bot into my leg at high speed. I still haven't gotton all the splinters out! _________________ ( •_•)

Well there just so many I don't know what to pick
Maybe graping a soldering iron and the reflex in my hand holding it....
Or maybe when the drill got stuck in my shirt and was stuck on slaming the handdle into my chest
Then there's when the angle grinder got my...... I guess that will do it _________________ Team KO

The ever growing list:
15mm drill bit in a hi torque 1200watt drill which decided to grab and nearly break my wrist.
Grabbed the wrong end of a falling soldering iron...
Cutting my finger on the VCR Annihilation cut in half..
Dropping one of the robots on my hand while putting it on the bench
Getting a piece of aluminium in my eye using the jigsaw
Drove over my own foot with Cheese Shredder.
Hurt my tailbone when Andrew got a bit throttle happy while I was sitting on T2M using it for a NarKart.
Broke my toe on the work bench.
Dropped a sheet of 3mm steel on my foot.
A piece of aluminium spun in the drill press and cut my fingers and knuckles... _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

damn i'm suprised you have any working fingers TDT.
it wasn't me but i caused it.
I was learning how to use the angle grinder and dad thought it was a good idea to give me the nine inch one. cutting away and the disk fragments showering me and him in cutting disk. _________________ For West ausies interested in robotics email me at: theoneshrug@hotmail.com

can someone rename this thread "worst welchies"?
Ok, here is my list on injurys:
Trying to wedge up the case of sharpshooter, the screwdriver sliped and gouged a deed cut in my thumb that bled like hell
Hurt my tailbone when I was blindfold driving sharpshooter (not the thing to do, please) and it hit my ankle at full speed and I fell on my ass
tonnes of splinters over the years
sis poked me in the eye with a radio antenna when i was carrying my robot, i dropped it on my foot
I almost broke my finger when tightening the drill screws on blackvelvet, I wasnt aware that the robot was on and the wheel suddenly turned on, mashing my finger up against the case of the robot
a drill bit broke and hit me in the nads....
and they are the worst welchies I have pulled and stand out most in my mind as the things you should not try at home when building a robot
from chris

That rule 1 of building robots:
Never try to catch a soldering iron if you drop it, you'll always catch the hot end
Other then the cuts on our hands after a compitition, since we pride our selves on speed of repair and now have a box of band aids on the top of the tool box, we don't get injuries from working on robots.
But driving robots is another thing:
- My brother let my dad drive Hellbringer 1 the night before MM1 and dad drove it into my brothers foot removing a lot of skin.
- Drive testing The Aggressor after MM2 out on the street and the robot refussed to turn while driving straight toward me with the weapon going. I felt safe as there was a gutter between me and it. It hit the gutter, cut a groove into the concrete, throwing all the chips into my eyes.
- Testing The Aggressor EV powered bar against a video machined and hit the LCD screen on the front of the VCR. It was raining broken glass for a few seconds
- Same thing but hiting a computer case. A part of the case just missed my brothers head while he was filming it (we didn't put that in the video ).
-Showing off Loki's drive at RoboWars II by standing on it while driving it around. I wasn't used to the accleration and almost fell of the back, I compinsated by slaming it in reverse. This caused me to fall off the front and onto my side. My leg was sore for the rest of the dy. _________________ Get Some!!!

damn i missed that loki bit at robowars
i guess im blessed with not having any depth perception... because if i try to catch a soldering iron ill miss it 9 times out of 10 hehe. _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts
