Oh the software is okay, but it doesnt rotate things to fit the bed when they can be made to fit, it doesn't show the support material in the preview, and it sometimes doesnt print things that preview OK - for example i downloaded an .eps file of the Toyota corporate logo, and it refused to print the logo part even tho it previews fine and isnt red anywhere, it just dabbed a few specks of plastic in it's place and made the raft for it. Also printing very thin sheets of plastic (1.00mm) sometimes works oriented along the y axis but not the x axis
The move, rotate, scale controls are horrible, fine to have them as they are for making mathematical adjustments, but some sort of mouse driven interface is needed alongside them
Would also be good if it previewed where its going to do that initial 3cm extrusion to clean up the feed or whatever, so i don't keep putting the bulldog clips in it's way on big prints
Some clear explanation of what the various options in the print setting dialogs actually do would be nice as well (manual doesnt help here either)
And my number one complaint, why doesnt it lower the bed all the way down automatically after the print? I always have to do this in the maintenance dialog (along with setting the nozzle position to the rear left so I don't risk burning the back of my hand on it.
That sounds like a lot of whinging, but there are lots of good points about it though, its very clever software generally and the fact that it actually came with an English manual is awesome I love the machine generally, it kicks so much ass _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam
