There are several vids like this online and they're all the same. My experience has been different.
In the vid, the 1st part is easy and the 2nd part is hard. Real life, for me at least, contravenes that. That LH screw is hard to get out and the chuck has never needed an Allen wrench or a hammer.
I take a locking wrench and latch it onto the handle of a Posi-drive screwdriver, using it as a kind of giant Chapman set. To avoid ripping out the screwhead, push as you turn.
I imagine that an impact scrwdriver, like the kind used on old Honda motorbbikes, might work well too.

I had to use a allan key and hammer once on one of my dewalts to remove the chuck. Never had to on any kmart/xu1/DSE drills.
Still the LHscrew is always the hardest part. _________________ Remember to trust me, I am an Engineer.

yeah agree on the sentiment never had a chuck get stuck just the screws get perma glued in there. I drill the heads off and if that doesnt loosen it up enough to allow whats left of it to wind out then i cut a motor lead, reassemble it and take it back for an exchange XD _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

It was really hard finding a nut to put where the chuck used to be.
Finally found one in a bicycle shop.

Yeah we had old recycled drills be such a nightmare that I have had to use a drop saw to cut as much of the chuck away as possible so that only the bare metal of the chuck is exposed. Then do a combo of heating with a heat gun and hitting with a hammer to get the screw out and the chuck off.

One of my Kmart Drills's chuck would not come off at all. I took a hand saw and totally ripped the plastic apart, then banged the hell out of it with a hammer. Then only it came loose. _________________ Viggy!

morning everybody.
I dont know if anyone else removes chucks like this but i find it really easy.
I just remove the motor and gearbox from the drill, then remove the 3 screws that hold the motor to gearbox, remove the set of gears and with a length of ally that I drill 3 holes into the face to match the pins the gears run on.locks all into place, then take out the l/H screw and uno the chuck.
put it all back together,easy..
