A beefy drive train is a set of 300psi compressor motors (mini EV's) with 21:1 reduction and plenty of tread.
I think a XU1 drill motor on 24v with a angle grinder gearbox onthe end would giveyou a hell of a lot of power and probably save the gearbox from breaking too. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

That basically what I have in Viper and already have parts to do the same for the Corporal but have this bug in me that wants to push system to 36volts for some reason. Have you ever heard of a 550 size motor that runs at 36 volts.
That would be the easy solution. Want torque and speed. want an insanely fast tracked bot. _________________ Bots that do not destroy you, only make you stronger.

RS-550 motors basically explode on 36v. the epoxy resin on the armature shatters and the fans melt.
Also remember, you need 36v worth of batteries, which is either 3 x 2.3amp SLA at 1.14kg each, or 36v NiCD which is about 2kg. Also, 36v of batteries is quite bulky and I've seen inside the old Pinscher, you would need to rebuild it again
You could always spend a $1000 on Thin Gaps. They are small, and pretty grunty motors. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Its not for Pinscher but for next bot. Corporal Punishment, a tracked bot and yes I dont mind if out of 12kg if 2.5 are batteries and 3 or 4 are motors. Can deal with that as long as i know before actually building anything. Its a pile of parts at the moment until i make a few decisions. Motor being one. _________________ Bots that do not destroy you, only make you stronger.

4 x 18v drills on 36v would probably go good, as lon as they are not the over volt 550 motors. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

$100 for the KingMax 256MB 300DDR Ram Big Jimmy. Only reason I'm selling it is because I just paid $219 for a stick of Legend 512MB 333DDR and I don't like running mixed ram. I think Postage is $4. IF you want it, send me a PM fast as I have a person locally wanting it. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Aaron, what parts do you have with your soda stream bottles? How much do you want for it? How can I get the stuff?
