well heres bot number 4 out of my labs no name yet but ill think of one.
this one got half built and was originally roadkill for angus but he didnt want it anymore so its in my possession these days just as welding practice im gunna finish it up and then hopefully leave it at marayong to be used by any new people that want to have a go..
well the specs are 80mm x 35mm x 3mm box section IIRC around the outer edges with a 3mm steel top. built top down like kang to save massive weight and then theres 3mm steel wedges after the box section. should be tough.
thinking i might leave the wedges off all together and possibly just make the weapon fairly overkill.
it was going to be a lifter but now i have that drill actuator spare itll be a lifter. in a big way. the lifter should get up to about a meter in height or so with any luck. just as a ball park figure anywhos. all 12v drill drive and using twin drill nicads for now.
started tacking it up now i got my welder back in commision.
should get most of it finished by the weekend but i need some more box angus to finish one side of it sure i cut one out. _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

*puts on an asian old fart martial arts master's voice*
you she gwasshopper!! building robot require much dicipwen and paitance (as well as masking tape electrical tape wires motors and other such things) to twuly succeed you must channel the wositive force of the wattery to a wotor and channel the wegative force bwak to the wattery this will guarentee success
moral of the story,
dont get an old fart martial arts master to build robots especially if their asian _________________ as a shadow is seen and not heard i am here

lol let me know when cant wait till the day i find a cheap skip truck to buy LOL
thinking that ive got that 16mm stainless shaft and 16mm bearings sitting in my room doing nothing so i might try take the next step and make a proper spinning weapon all on my own. gotta get away from this get everyone else to make my robots stuff
friction drive series wound motor is my thought. seems to be about the same size and weight as a scooter motor but with decent torque and speed output. (i can stall the scooter motors shaft with my hand at 24v) _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

took thursday to think about raiden and what to do with it. i dont want it to be innactive weaponry wise so im going to cut off the box section parts and just use the wedges instead therefore loosing 4kg.
itll need alot of support work underneath but itll be much lighter and smaller thats no doubt. should leave a fair bit of weight for a weapon in there. want to try out having some motors INSIDE the drum one day as well so ill see what the 411 is on that (and no i dont know what that means XD) _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts
