Just wondering if anyone has a NTM Prop Drive 50-60 270KV brushless motor or two laying around. Alternatively, if you know of a similar specced motor that is available, that would also be of interest.

Its not harder to find them but it is much harder to get them. There is a bunch of China and US based sites that are selling new ones but they will not ship to Aus.

Word on the street is the HobbyKing ones are A123s but their B-grade cells.

That's because Lipo batteries out-perform A123 cells in every important category - time to swap chemistries!

I used to be able to find plenty on eBay and alibaba etc and now like one or two sellers on those sites.

The ones on hobby king a few people reckon they don't last long so yeh makes sense they would be B grade and if I'm buying b grade ill get the same cells off alibaba for less.

Lipo may outperform a123 but i don't need that extra performance with what I'm doing and also can't risk of fire/explosion when using batteries with dummies so i use a123 as smoke is not as bad as a hand grenade lol

Yes there is probably a reason why last rites uses a123

Do you need the current draw of the a123s, cause there are other brands out there.

Any reason you can't just use LiFE packs? They are the same chemistry as A123 after all.

HobbyKing has a good range.

Linear rods and bearings

Does anyone know a good local supplier for mounted linear ball bearings and rods? I am trying to buy some 12mm bearings & rod for a project and the suppliers are either selling generic junk (with a 12 week lead time Shocked), or they are super expensive.

Finding reasonably priced linear motion parts that locally stocked is WAY harder than it should be Sad.

The parts are for the Y axis of a new3D printer. CNC Shop has plenty of 16mm rod in stock for about a dollar more per part - it just seems a bit heavy & bulky and 12mm is probably already overkill.

BFD and alf steward remains for sale -Antweights

Good evening, I wish to sell BFD and the remains of alf stewart (both highly successful drum spinner antweights), second robot is in pieces but spare drives, controllers, tubes for more drums and frame materials so one completely assembled and operational antweight ready to go and one which needs assembly or the parts used to do a easy re-build.

I would like 200 for the whole lot but open to haggling or trade.

Main reason for selling is not much antweight action happening plus got alot of debt i need to crawl myself out of so trying to sell off what i can to get things above water.

If anybody wants a badass little toy to play with, funky desk ornament which throws cans or wants to take it and throw it straight into an arena then this would be a solid competitor to take on most designs. Ive fced many spinners with it with good results.

Ill supply a stack of spare drum tube, spare weopon motors, spare batteries (been sitting idle for two years so may need to be replaced but they are cheap off hobbyking) spare wheels everything for these guys
