does anyone know any shops in captial cities (cheaper postage) that sell ball caster units? should I be able to find any it will be a big help.

I would have thought that a large industrial supplies place like Blackwoods would be your first stop.
I would also track down machine tool / industrial tool (eg punch, press, or gillutine) repairers, as they are likely to have these items as spares.

yes i have a pair nick got from carbatec.
although i would not recommend them personally unless the curcumstances are right. as nick can attest they wear out hideously fast, are loud, and can seize up on account of getting red raw hot.

The ball castors from Carbatec are cheapo chinese units, but good for quite a few battles as long as floor is relatively smooth. you can get way better stainless steel castors from RS Components, but they start at around the $30 mark and I don't know if they would last 6 times longer to justify the price. They have destributors in all states.
