I'm not interested in buying at this moment, but are the Chinese Laser cutters like this one which are found on ebay any good?
I'd just be looking to cut acrylic and engrave MDF/PLY( I know cutting PLY is difficult for even good lasers)

They are "good for the money". I hear that the software is terrible and most people soon upgrade the ventilation and the water cooling. There a plenty of YouTube videos about them and community forums. Glen bought a laser a few years ago and after much work, it cuts cleaner than most commercial places.
I like the idea of buying one from a local source so there is a little bit of support and its less likely to be damaged in transit. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion
