Indeed Very Happy was going to play it safe and avoid his weapon, but mr mangle turned the opposite way, lining up a perfect shot on the front corner but misjudged it lol. Had only driven the robot for about 8 seconds prior so i guess that didn't help Embarassed

Also nice work on the lighting Nick…….it made the event look that much more pro. I never got a chance to see how that software worked but it looked genius. Very Happy

For a show that I threw together last thing on Friday as we were being thrown out of the gallery, it wasn't too bad - next year will definitely look better! I might be able to integrate other effects and audio with a software upgrade to make the system more like the set-up in the UK.

We only got the final on video. The way the arena was setup it was too ccrowded to get close enough with a camera. Even the drivers had trouble seeing.

Here is an interesting email that was sent to the art gallery.

quote:
My kids loved robowars so much. One thing I found interesting is that they loved the pieces of paper with the pics and all the info about the robots on them. Just thought I would let you know in case you would like to pass this on to the robo team as I think they could do well from making collector cards of all of the robots. My kids still talk about them!

Really need to step that up next year. One of my strange ideas that actually worked.

Good work! I always wondered about robot trading cards that pop up occasionally in the US - seems like you are on a winner there. Perhaps we can get them printed on card stock next year and make them double sided?

Is there any general feedback from the gallery about their impression of the event?

Business cards from vistaprint are cheap as chips just needs lead time.

Which means lead time on finished robots.
