Not sure I'm going to be ready. I've lost my soldering iron and I've realised I can't remember seeing it since the nationals. I've also lost the charger for my camera. I've been searching everywhere and I can't find them.
Is it the Casio one I posted in the nationals thread? _________________ Steven Martin

Probably. I don't think I read that. Was there a soldering iron too?

i got my flameing wedge working all nice then realised ....the new gas bottles I bought have a different connector on top
(even though they are the same brand from the same shop)
.....damn them!...so before I bother tring to alter it for these new bottles ....I thought I should ask....are flamethrowers even allowed for this event? _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

I am fine with flamethrowers yours however I have a few issues with.
1 - It should not be ignited directly from the bottle. I know the chances of it burning back into the can and it exploding are pretty much 0 but if you melt the top of that nozzle and it gets released into the arena we have a large fireball on our hands.
2 - It must failsafe. If it is on and I pull out the battery it must turn off. With that servo I am unsure of this.

righto will look into those things....i might just have to paint flames rather than have real ones. _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

What time do we expect to finish tomorrow? I assume there will be 6 robots. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems
