Dad may be attending with BoW. If the new batteries get here in time.

I would also like to throw in one or 2 of the KitBots if I have them running by then.

I've been trying to make Vendetta Jr out of Carbon fibre and chopping boards, but I'm failing. So I just drew up new chassis this morning and sent it off for 3d printing but the estimated completion dates is the 1st, so still not sure what I'll have.

Hey guys!

I've never built a robot before, and I'm a complete electronics newb. But yesterday I printed some wheels and a chassis on our new reprap, then connected it to some gear I ripped out of a cheap remote controlled car.

The result:

It currently spins in circles! haha. I have to work out the electronics. And fix some sort of wedge shaped shell to the outside. And find some thick rubber bands to put on the wheels for grip.

I'll be entering this nameless robot on Saturday (if the rules allow for it). Not expecting it to last very long. I'm learning heaps and should be able to throw some cash at a decent setup for the next event Smile

Will be printing spare parts for when it gets annihilated.

See you there!
Dave

Also will be binging BotBitz stuff to the event.
