Thats freaking awesome man Maybe a slider setup like the center leg has on the outside two would work good, it seems to drag the outer legs a fair bit.
Nice! Yeah the inside leg seems to do all the walking. Would it be better to drive two legs on each side both with their own seperate crank setup, geared back to an idler gear that's attached to the drill motor? That way you don't have any delicate mechanical linkages, only gears _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam

A little bit yeah, I have a magazine somewhere with that anarchy robot from robot wars, it's really similar to this but it has 8x slotted legs in it driven by chain/sprocket isntead of the joining bars. Will go dig it out and scan it in _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

Looks pretty cool. What is angus offering 150% or 200% bonus for shufflers?
Rubber feet might help too along with maybe adjusting the heights of the outside feet relative to the center ones. Just for one final piece of unsolicited advice.

As per the rules, so 150% shufflers and 200% true walker. Looks awesome dude. _________________ ( •_•)

hey guys thanks for the inputs, thanks glen for the pics,I remembered after looking at them I've got that issue and it would have been a good place to start lol,atm its legs will stay pretty much the same design and working but will be made stronger.I will def look into a gear chain walker in the future.after looking through the robot pile at home and finding the motor gearbox that sissorhands got a hold of,I figured I'd better try my hand at making a couple.
Ive used all cordless running gear.
aluminum housing instead of plastic.
2 piece construction
12mm Id ball bearing
no where in town had 28mm circlips for the bearing so they are just loctited in.
they still need some work but looks like they might be a winner

fixing the wheel like most do with tapping the thread into the wheel and using the left hand screw, also I was looking at making some hubs to mount different wheels,I was going to weld a length of ally flat bar with through holes on to the flat on the gearbox for mounting
