Aluminium box section /printed drive mounts.
Aluminium box section /printed drive mounts.
Think these should be tough enough for robowars
So the bolts/nuts on the top hold the abs in position to stop the print from sliding out of the ali.
The bottom bolts will attach through the bottom of the robot and they go through the ali shell and into the nuts on the bottom….you can tighten them as hard as you want and there is no risk of cracking the abs cause the ali is taking all the pressure and the abs is just stoping the nut from spinning….i reckon it will be pretty tough…the ali box section is reinforcing the abs…..cheap light weight and should be tough….especially after acetone gassing the abs.
oh yeah ..the bolts are 12mm long 1/4" bolts…i tested with regular nuts and nylocks ,both work perfect. _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts
