so we having any vic events of build meets or testing days pre battleshed?
there was some talk about dates but nothing has happend so far _________________ Remember to trust me, I am an Engineer.
Just thinking about it I don’t think enough of us have bots together at the moment for a proper event.
Perhaps if we have regular test and tunes and try and build up.
Spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
No substitute for a real grudge match as far as testing goes. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

How many people would be ready for an event in 3-4 weeks ? Thinking of the 23/24th or 30/31st of May.
I just need to do a bit of work to Puncturer to get it going again (straighten out the 6mm ali that Scissorhands bent).
I've also got another robot almost ready to go (just need a picoswitch from RMP and get the armor sorted out). If I can get another controller organised (probably just a PRC) and if someone has a radio they can bind to my receiver, I'll be able to bring 2 robots.
Anybody else ready for an event ? Matt ? Neweyn ? Gary ? Shreddy ? Collo? George ? Brett ? Tim ? Sean ? (and anybody else I forgot)

suppose i could just bring the same stuff as last time
but with castors that cannot break
i would still only exhibit my bot though, it isn't strong enough for a proper fight _________________ http://au.youtube.com/user/crustydemonsully

No problem, we have bots ready to go now.
Bit of time would be good though as I wont to get Skeletor sorted and the arcade bots are taking up my spare time at the moment.
Did a little on your off road bot on the weekendAndrew.
I found 4 slabs of plastic that we forgot to take to the builders meet to, well bring them next time. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

Little blue controller works fine on 6 M1 cells, accidentally plugged in the 8-cell pack and it didn’t blow up.
Realized what I had done almost straight away and unplugged it without trying to run motor. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

14.4 volt GMC right angle drill as in one of Bender or MiniMower’s drives.
The Bane bot one that I cant be bothered looking for the link again.
This is for MiniMowers reversible drum at higher voltage so I thought I would risk it.
See how it goes at our next event. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

Still using it for the test but only using an AM TX as I think they might be self-calibrating and the BR6000 might confuse me.
Takes to long to connect as well.
Sometimes I like to turn something on and have it work without it having to think about it.
There a 1 amp BEC that’s capable of running servos at there stock voltage so not surprising that it can run the AM RX.
Easy enough to not use the BEC, just not connect the power wire to the RX, haven’t decided, probably play safe and use a linear EBEC. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

Thinking of having the event on Sunday 31st of May. This should give most people enough time to get ready (and my order from RMP to get here, carnage here we come ).
I'll ring Sidetracked in the next few days to confirm with them.

Probably have Rob driving Minimower, Matt with Fragmentor, Rodney if he can be there with Rat and I will have Skeletor.
That’s for the Comp.
We will probably bring Badger for testing or grudge matches. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.
