ok guys just an update
iv been really lazy in getting my parts sorted out but im finally starting to make progress
so far ive bought 8 microswitches (so darn expensive, put a real dent in my budget ) and ive gotten another 2 drills and another 2 wheels.
HOPEFULLY tomorrow i can get out to the hobby shop and get some sort of AA cradle for my reciever and the wood for the frame.
if i somehow miraculously manage to acomplich all this i should be able to *ehem* start building this brick....... _________________ If you and your friend are being chased by a grizzly bear, don't worry about out-running the bear, just worry about out-running your friend

how come the micro switches were expensive they should only be like $3-4 each? _________________ A journey of a million miles begins with a single step followed by a hell of a lot of other steps so get walking

your going to hate me, but I realised the other day that you only need 2 per motor... not 4. At least you have spares now _________________ They say that he crossed the fine line, from insanity to genius.

i have a simple set of controllers here i built ages ago and tested in TTT they were just two servos with 25-50? amp self centering rocker switches off winch motors ill see if i can find them and take pics- switch was taped to servo and servo horn cut short to rotate over switch only two power wires and two motor wires for each switch as they are double pole have built in crossover
only disadvantage is no motor braking ttt dint have a problem as it was running rubber tracks which had a lot of friction and stopped fairly quick

LMAO look at that ssr controller! that probably cost at least $300 to make. thats the biggest waste ive ever seen
but yeah the two microswitch setup is right on that page, chris, myself, dylon angus etc all use it. works good.
just have to make sure your servos set the microswitches off at the same time otherwise its hard to drive (i.e. the two fowards switches go off at the same time) _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

That SSR is still very expensive - better to use the 100A SSR for Jaycar. It would still be $160 for four of them, rather high compared to some of the smaller PWM controllers
