Greta day!!
Well, what a day of carnage!!-Razorbacks a little bent up now, but im pleased
it lasted the day into the melee-so the rebuild was worth it. Spinners are
a challenge to beat and challenge is what this is all about i guess. Now ive had
my second run out there at marayong, I have a better idea of whats needed
in a robot to be competetive and i wasnt under any illusions about Razorbacks
capapbilities-it was a "just get me in the ring!" starter and it did to hold together-I was impressed by Orbits kinetic energy(nice bot Andrew!), it got
through5mm of ali armour
Also pleased to see good sportsmanship, the guys with more dangerous
weapons are a little reserved about totally destroying another bot-thats good
to see, im a little older, but a younger entrant might might be turned away
from us if his or bot, especially a new comer on his first day, got torn up-I
like the Rex Garrod philosphy of just doing enough damage as is necessary
to win the fight!
To Jeff, thanks for letting us invade you again!-and just on the judging,
I personally like the idea of a non builder/competitor as an unbiased
judge-Just one i would have thought who might combine his score with
those selected to judge each heat?-Just a thought!!
All in all, We a good safe day, lots of fun-lookin forward to the next one!!
