hey what did i do?? another option would be to make a ball outta something solid then screw in screws around it so the heads poke out giveing the ball resistance to movement just a thought _________________ as a shadow is seen and not heard i am here

that would just make it bounce around in random directions not actually make it slow down much _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

lol until it sticks onto the armour and you can drive that thing around at will, sort of like putting glue on the football players hands _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

Its crunch time on the ball design - I'm happy to make a few if everyone can agree on the best design. Personally, I like Jake's plastic ball with birdseed (or similar) inside. We also need to decide on the size; probably around the 10cm mark so the taller robots can get at it.
Let me know what you think and I will get some soccer balls made up. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Balls, Balls, Balls! I dunno! I was thinking something around 20cm, easy to see and attack. I`ll see what I can come up with as well and we can test what works and what doesn`t.
Since we still don`t have any goals how about a hanging target with a microswitch behind it? When the ball hits a light will flash. One on each opposing wall. I think all the parts are here, old refbot lights, switches and drill batteries. Then again, I can see torn and ripped off targets and robot head butting targets claiming goals! Will be fun whatever!
