Melbourne Builders meeting - 20th August @ SideTracked
Seeing as how a few people are still in "preparation" mode and some are away overseas, I'm thinking every 6 weeks or so is a bit too often for a serious competition by the look of the turnout to the last event.
So I suggest we have a builders meeting on the next "event" date. and then put more time into the round after that, then have another break and go all out for our annual gala event rather than half-hearted attempts more often.
Accordingly, our next builders meeting date is Saturday the 20th of August, about 3 weekends away. start at about lunchtime till early evening. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Cool that suits me; I might have a better chance of getting Brett to look at that gremlin in Skeletors IBCX.

And just wot is Skeletor doing with an IBCX???? may l ask.... is it the five channels needed? And Scoopy would like to know EXACTLY where this IBCX is located in Skeletor and how deep her saw needs to go before contact!! _________________ It's a She Thing

Skeletor has the normal 2 drive channels, it uses the X’s 2nd H bridge to rotate the weapon up and down.
The spin controller FET output drives the weapon, one of the aux hi and low’s opens and closes his claws and the second auxiliary works the flip function.
Those ads up to a 6 channel feather with 5 motors, I think that’s a record for an Ausie bot.
The X in Skeletor is the one that has been in Caketaker. It has developed a slight glitch; not totally surprising as this is the one we blew the guts out of trying to run series motors in lawnmower.
I will bring my spare IBC for spare parts.
The electronics are housed in a pollycarb box deep inside his rib cage.

Yes I will be bringing what there is of Skeletor along.
Because weight is so tight and he has so much wiring and some of his works are pushing the envelope somewhat I wonted to get him working before finishing all the welding.
It can be surprising how the wiring and odds and ends can add up weight wise.

Change of location suits Shem and me, as we are just in Wantirna, and we both should be there.
