We finally have some event videos! I will have some more up as soon as I find some hosting space (if anyone would like to transfer them to a permanent site, that would be appreciated).
Jolt vs Roadkill:
Short 'n sweet! Look for the damaged steel wedge as Roadkill hits the rear wall. Angus hits back in the melee...
Still to come: Jolt/Retread, Retread/Speedbump and the melee (if I can make the camera batteries last!) _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Jolt was still on 21v; I can only put it down to a freshly charged pack and having the motors limited to 40% so they took less current from the Mag. You can see in the videos that Jolt sometimes does a 90 deg spin when the weapon fires - that hasn't happened before and means the acceleeration during spin-up is higher
I am just uploading two more videos, unfortunately the camera battery died part way through capturing the melee. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Retread VS Speedbump has got to be the best match I've seen in a long time Having humor as a secondary weapon is a great idea Was pretty cool watching Jolt chew Violater away and then do nothing to Retread... I guess we'll have to stock up on rubber for RoboWars 3 _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Sorry Prong, don't I feel stupid - I knew you had a brother and I thought you or Bort explained the nicknames came about 'cause of the long names you parents gave you. It just didn't click that they were differernt parents
@Arron: Retread did fantastic for it's first competition, but it took a fair bit of damage against Jolt; The saw blade lost all but 4 of the carbide tips and most of the teeth were bent up at 90 degrees, the motor was damaged and I finally KO'ed it in the last 20 seconds - that death spiral is the sign the reciever is knocked out.
Full marks to Bort though, the tyre shell only has scrape marks and the weapon could easily have cut right through my chassis if it had me pinned in a corner. As it is, the side of the wedge looks like a serrated knife blade where the saw caught it. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Carbide teeth coming off is self inflicted damage, sorta like Jolt damaging his chassis after most events
I gotta say though, your getting better at driving Nick, you only hit the walls during rebounds in those videos I hope you keep Jolt in this current form for RoboWars 3, it will be great to see it in person like this. Will be even greater to fight Jolt in this form, even if I win/loose
@Prong, what's the story behind the nicknames? Some of us haven't heard it yet _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Hehe. Yeah well, its not the first time thats happened to us. Don't worry about it Nick.
But just clarify one thing, I was the good looking brother right?
You were right, it was no holds barred. Really enjoyed that match. Retread is a billiion times easier to drive than tread was. Got to experience real combat for the first time.
@TDT: BORT comes from the Simpsons. Just wanted to be called something other than Courtney on the internet and at school. I have friends that call me nothing but Bort, and would have to think twice to remember my real name.
I believe PRONG was a user name that Lindsay created, but I'll let him explain.
@Nick: Can you post a good pic of the damage retread did to the wedge and frame please?
Thanks

Photos coming up shortly, I think you just missed my wheels too.
I wouldn't know about good looking, but my partner Deb mentioned that some of the robot guys were hotties, so I will ask for a second opinion _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion
