Angus: We might want to decide on the beetle weight class on Saturday as well. Since you are probably the most keen, what were your thoughts on running a comp? It would be good to have a featherweight and beetle going but this might not always be feasible. What do you think?

Ok, we've got a good turn out so far for Sat.

Chris
Nick
Jeff J
Andrew
Little Nick
Jake (a bit late)
Glen
Myself

Not coming & Unknowns:
Lindsay
Andrew (dumhed)
Angus
Jeff F

So that's over half. I think we can actually call this a general meeting and hopefully get a lot sorted out. Look forward to it, and hopefully make it a good year for NSW.

I think for the first beetle fight we should just have an all out rumble (I'd assume there will only be 3 or so) but once we get four or a little more I'd think a small double elimination event slotted in between featherweight fights might be possible. If everyone starts making them then maybe they might need to have their own little event. One thing we need to decide on is if we want 2minute fights or 3minute fights for the beetleweights.

Yeah good idea on the rumble. My thought is only 2 minutes. There's not enough action I think for 3 minutes, also prob of battery life.

Also Angus I know you offered some sort of prize for the winner of a beetle comp. Well rather than that, why don't you have a go at making a tiny trophy like Chris's. I think that would be cool. You know a featherweight sized trpohy for the featherweights, and a beetleweight size for the beetles. Smile

if theres 4 or so beetles then round robin all the way.
Does anybody have any objections to flame weapons in that class?

Laughing Flame thrower robots have a huge advantage in the smaller classes because everything is so exposed... take crisp for example... never seen it fight, but i'd be worried about a fairyweight flamethrower! Laughing

A tiny trophy is a kewl idea... I might give that a go. Smile

"General Meeting", like Bort and Sarge said Smile Most people seem to be turning up around 11 or 12.

Angus: was I still giving you a lift? I can get to Artarmon around 10:30.
