If you have motors i can do a set for you to trial but i dont realy need the motor to do the internal mod Although it does make it easier to make sure every thing meshes properly even just two motors so i can make you a complete working set set up. I dont realy need a lot of motors at the moment they will just make too much weight for postage unles you send it all expres post .I think it is still around $10 to send up to 3 kgs that way its some times cheaper than normal post .

Hi Glen no worries the replie was aimed at nick Lol , who is also sending up a heap of bits but if you throw in a couple of motors i can make up and test your set out as well with out haveing to look for motors to put on them
Noticed a few of your modified gearbox units getting around now, Andrew.... what kind of $$$'s do they go for (I'll send you the complete motor/gearbox combo)
Any reports from people using them ???
PM me some postal details and costs please. _________________ There is no such thing as excessive carnage.

I havent posted in here for a while .So here goes i have made a few of these gear boxes now and am going to do a few to take down to robo wars with me in Jan .I hope to have about 4 complete sets .And some case mods for any one just wanting a quick way to mount their standard drill box.
Ive also come up with a way of replaceing the bush with a bearing and will make one up this week to trial also .
.Ive also come up with a simple boss to hold the red wheels on better .Its just basicly a copy of the black center hub made out of steel and taped to fit the drill thread .I made up 6 of these this morning to put them on all our own bots that use red wheels but i will make a few sets to bring with me if any one else is interested in them. Aaron has a pic he can put up iff any one wants to see them .
Any one wanting a gear box mod can pm me for more details .

Well, i think glen needs to tell you people about his gearbox's performance today! I'm not quite sure what happened, but i think it was the motor and the gearbox held up well... glen? _________________ ( •_•)

indeed i do,
gearboxes = perfect. no problems at all the entire day. the first real match went the distance and resulted in alot of pushing and stuff. throughout the day i killed the drive motors (most dead motors ive ever seen )
still ticking just fine.... tho i think the oil inside it is somewhat harder now lol after the drill motor was at 110 degrees and the gearbox getting just as hot. need 18 volters _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

At Philip ...
The hubs are only desghined for the bunnings red wheels at the moment but iff you show me what you want i might be able to make something up for your wheels.
Ive basicly just copied the black center out of the red wheels and threaded it so it screws on the drillshaft then the left hand screw and washer go tight up against the steel hub to lock it in place like in the origional drill chuck

Ive weighed a complete gear box mod with the internal mod and the case mounting mod and with the left hand screw in and they weigh 500 grms complete for any one wanting the weights .that might vary slightly from one to the other as they are molded one at a time and the fiber glass isnt weighed I just put as many layers of glass as i can fit around the gear box in the molds and stuff any gaps with scrap bits of glass off cuts

I saw them, they look fairly decent, but i don't know if they come with a variable speed control.. why don't you get them to let us know? They'll most likely make great drives for your robot too! _________________ ( •_•)

Actually, it's only 80km Take a trip to Kingaroy, if not, I'll pick a few up next time I'm working in the BGA Kingaroy branch. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
