Looks like Carlo Bertochini's (Biohazard)
#1 tip for winning
still applies..
"Finish (and test and practise) your robot *before* coming to the competition !!"
(Not that I can talk, being as bad as most of the rest of us in this respect), but it sounds like finally it paid off for Nick though..
Congratulations Nick, it has been a long time coming.. all your work and attention to detail came together
Regarding Video Editing, if you need some server storage and bandwidth space when you're done, I have permission to use one of my clients servers in the states, on a Tier-1 backbone, with 20gig of drive space and 300gig/month bandwidth allowance.. (what a server !), so dont make them lower res than they need to be.. I'm keen to see all the action in detail..
What happened to Jeff's RS80 ? Another switchmode reg ? or something else ? _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

well yesterday was a tough day at the office ,a great result for sorry but a lot of hard yards in the pits between battles ,atrax did well up until the melee where it got a little 'jolt ' ....had a tough draw all day ,had 3 battles and all were against those bloody spinners ,but i survived 'just '
the day in a nut shell.......jeff j slimed around ,jeff f was ready at 12,
lindsay bounced all day , nick was relaxed all day ,andrew spun-out all day ,
wade repaired all day, chris stressed all day ,mitch talked all day ,angus played with polystyrene all day , jake and russell rebuilt half the day
thanks to jeff once again ,courtney for doing the admin stuff for the day and 11 robots is another great turn out .....
congrats to nick for the win ....at last a day without incident .....but i think judging by the way the big mag sounded by days end ,the last battle was just in time _________________ Photos - http://community.webshots.com/album/154092733uokpXC

lol, yesterday was a reminder to me of how violent this sport can (and will) be. With the draws being messed up about 3 times, i was landed with orbit for my first match. I probably would have done ok, as he actualy couldn't reach my sides with the wedges, but my wheels unscrewed, leaving me helpless as andrew wedged me around the arena. once i finaly got traction, orbits weapon was already full speed, and i coped a direct hit on the corner, flipping me. Basicaly, i need a new bot now...
One of the most scary parts of the day was orbit ripping half a walls worth of ali brace off, without even slowing the weapon... _________________ ( •_•)
