Middleweight anyone?
would anyone be interested in a Middleweight bot?
As they would prob cost about the same as a lighweight.
Cheap sla batts are esy to find and you can spare the weight.
And ev warrior motors are cheap and you can use a couple of them and not worry about running out of power as you could fit 2 14ah hawkers in a Middleweight bot.
This of course is when we get a sutable arena _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

what im thingking of doing is first i will finish my 12kg then i will finish my 25kg bot and have the two.
Then will fight my 12kg bot untill the arena is able to fight 25kg bots then i will retire my 12kg bot and use it for parts start fighting my 25kg bot wilst building a 50kg bot and then wait untill i can fight that too and only have those two bots from then on! _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

Skip lightweights, no one does them.
Middleweights have a pretty fair chance when it comes to playing with heavies.... particularly if you gaffer tapee two together and declare it a clusterbot

If you look at battlebots site you will see that the lightweights have the most bots in its class. _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

geezus slow down, you havent even made a featherweight yet.
just keep your eyes set in the now, no doubt down the track we will have all the weight classes happening. but unless someone wants to pay for a 10mm steel and 12mm lexan arena i cant see middleweights running really. except for the lame variety.
3Faze, the lightweights maybe be a dead fish in water in the UK, but there seems to be some interest arrising here for them. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

The only reason I'm looking at building a lightweight is because my design doesn't have any sort of spinning weapon and should be able to be contained in the featherweight arena. Plus I want something to use for a NarKart _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

well one day when i have time and money i will buy some steel box section and plan my nar kart/bike. I will try and fit my golf buggy motor and 2 or 3 sla's so i can have gear 1 (12 volt power to motor) and gear 2 (24 volt power to motor). at gear one the calculations with a 1:1 reduction and 30 cm ish wheel is about 20-30 km/h and 24 volts is sonmething like 40-50 km.h
i wish i had 3 more of these motors. could build a blue max ripoff. _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics
