Think the kids had fun with the Kitbots they worked ok. But there was still a few issues.
The printed CAMs had a tendency to slip and were difficult to put on and replace. I am trying to tweak the printing process so that they are more reliable.
They are also pretty hard to flip people without a scraper on the front. But I am not exactly sure how to fix that.

Was that the arm attached to the servo? If so, could you print an arm that would accept a servo horn? You could clip the horn into the arm and hold it together with a longer M2.

Put a scraper on the front. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems
Yes thought about the servo horn idea. But I think I have a new tapered design which will work. Maybe with a longer screw and washer it would be bullet proof.
As for the scraper sort of wanted to keep it all printed but yes you could. My advice for anyone would be add a scraper on it. But they can do that later its an easy addition. I think people would also glue on wheel guards and rear protection too.

I can laser cut the servo spline really accurate, Angus and i made a few giant servo horns and they worked mega good. Perhaps you could replace the cams with lasered ones _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

The kitbots were very good yesterday. They were almost constantly used between the event and being used by spectators.
Buy one if you want a simple, easy to use competitive robot. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

I have talked myself into it. I want one. How much are they? How low does the gear motor sit in the robot? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems
Well retail is probably going to be $100 - $150 sans RX/TX but as its largely based on designs you sent me I think we can work something out.
I am waiting on a few more parts to do the final revisions and then should be good to go.
With all the discussions about which RX to use, I think I have come back to just using the T6 and that space should be big enough for others to put most things in. The current main issue is the connectors taking up too much space and the battery choice. Not sure if I should stick with JST.

Thanks. Is it possible to print the name on the back of the shell? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

+1 On Jaemus' suggestion. Flows much better. I have a sneaky feeling you're gonna get sick of ending your products in Z soon enough though. _________________ ( •_•)
