It says "no wedges" in the rules but I've noticed several wedge shaped entries, so what's going on with that? I don't mind if they are allowed but I would like to know so I can design my bot appropriately and not get myself in conflict with the rules.
I believe that is the sportsman class. Wedges are fine.
Edit: clearer rules instead the RFL link is on my todo list. Its just a very long list and that is not that high on it. _________________ Steven Martin

- We need to take one of those posters to the IAG.
- I would like to get 20 or so A2 posts printed and then ask business's in the local region to put them up.
- I have done up a letter for schools. Anthony is working on a targeted video which I will send out as a DVD. We still need a list of candidate schools. I am willing to print and send to as many as possible.
- We still have lots of fliers left if anyone wants them let me know.
- I will take some fliers and the second poster down to Serial Space.
- I will also try and contact a few local papers, is anyone free for photos/interviews?
- I still need more spiels for website and register your bots!

In the new rules there's no mention of a weight bonus for autonomous bots, has that been removed?
Autonomous bots will still get 200% weight bonus BUT they must be pre-approved for safety. So that I can ensure that they can be contained by our arena, that they will not accidentally activate and they qualify for the definition of "autonomous".

Is there an imposed or practical limit to the number of robots one driver can enter in a single class? Is there a written judging criteria? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems
No you can enter as many as you want. Provided, you always have a backup driver and if you forfeit neither bot gets any points. _________________ Steven Martin

Can I grab any spare driver at the event? That is, the way you drove Abaddon at the last event. (Probably not you though. You were owning me for the first 1:30.) I am thinking of going for four robots.
I only have two radios. That will mean that, if I have two robots on the same radio, they will have to forfeit unless they can be on different sides of the draw according to the transmitter used. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems
That is fine. However as I said in these cases now points will be awarded to either robot. _________________ Steven Martin

Dropped off the Robowars Natiionals promo posters at Ipswich art Gallery today.
Here is some pics from the gallery....Should be an epic to see the feather arena set up on top of the polished wooden floors .....Will be great to get the bots in here making some serious noise to.
The Arena will be set up at the bottom of these stairs (pic above) so crowd can sit or stand there.
