Hi all,
Great news, there will be a Maker Faire in Melbourne in Jan.
I am heading down from Sydney with some projects to show.
Is there a Melbourne contingent that could register as makers to show their craft. They may even be willing to host a competition if there is an arena that could be brought in. I saw an awesome battle bot competition at Maker Faire in Austin Tx, and they really compliment the event.
The event is on the 14th of Jan so there is not much time to prepare.
Awesome Malcolm, but damn so soon... I'll have to see if I can get something together, too good an opportunity to pass up. Do you know if it might come to Syd next year/ later in the year?

Its been organised by the local hacker space. The 'mini' Maker Faires are community organised and just supported in name by O'Riley. I would be keen to organise one here in Sydney. We would need a core group of dedicated 'directors' . Any takers?

I'm already the unofficial EO for NSW robot events, so something could certainly be arranged! By the way you're more than welcome to attend our next antweight event, dates laid out for this year are being currently decided and dicussed here.
