I've not seen this specifically mentioned, so I thought I'd ask. What are the rules for having different armors for your bot, of the kind that are easily interchangeable depending on what you're facing?
I was looking more at armors of different shapes rather than material composition, but am interested to know the legality of such.
Cheers

It's welcome as long as your robot still fits within the weight limit. Also, you need to still get your robot ready from the time the draw is announced till the fight time, sometimes that's not very long so not something to depend on. _________________ ( •_•)
Thanks. I was more looking at screw on plates rather than anything complicated.
Beetleweights seem to have more room for the metagame than the ants, but I'm just thinking on how much flexibility a 'simple' beetle can have.

Sounds fine not sure how far it would have to go before you start running into ship of theseus arguments i guess as long as the basic components of the robot remain the same its all good! _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

Nobody took much issue with Plan-G swapping armor and weapons about. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets
Lindsay was especially fond of dodgily strapping extra armour to his robots - sometimes they were barely recognisable between fights _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam
<bovril> it collects data about the surrounding environment, then discards it and drives into walls

It was discussed in a previous thread... somewhere. I think the idea of keeping at least 50% of the bot the same throughout rounds was a loose standard. _________________ They say that he crossed the fine line, from insanity to genius.
