I have to agree; if the lower voltage specs are accurate, then the motor should be doing 15,000 rpm at 18V and 20K at 24V. Another suspect claim is the 12 pole armature; from the brush photo a few pages back, it would be hard to fit 12 poles onto a small diameter commutator with the width brushes shown.
Its still a very nice motor for the price, I am just not sure if all the specs are believable.

Yeah, I found the pole count a little interesting, but I have seen 10 pole wiper motors of the same size, so it could be true.
Tim, can you provide photos of the armature for our viewing pleasure _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Ill post some soon but yeah i did notice the rpm range i thought maby at lower voltage there may be some point the field or something rapidly drops or the efficiency or something?
There are 12 poles inside unless i cant count _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

Excellent. Interesting that they have placed the fan at the front of the motor. All the other cheap motors I've seen have it right at the brushes (Where it melts/explodes and takes the brushes with it). _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

O no theeeese special motors seem to have a kinda baka light "spelling" fan so theys should not melt.
Yes as the brushes would get hotter then the rest of the motor it would make sense to use the air to first cool the cooler parts down then cool the brushes which should be made to handle the higher temps anyway. _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

Sorry to be a spelling Nazi, but that would be Bakelite ? A thermosetting plastic (as opposed to a Thermoplastic that can re-melt when hot.. Bakelite just burns if you get it too hot)

Just thought I'd let you know, so you know for future. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Will see what rpm they are as they might be a cheaper option for 18v 550 motors rather then buying the $40 dse drills. _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

For reapers weapon im looking at having a fixed shaft with a bushing inserted inside the disc and pulley and have that sitting on a washer on top of a bearing so the disc is not rubbing on anything.
Just a thought.
EDIT
Ill prob use a bearing down the middle of the disc rather then a bushing but the disc needs to spin on something.
I like the idea of a fixed shaft so ill try to find ideas that work around that. _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

Just wondering Tim, have you done a stall test on those 12 Pole motors? Curious for some data _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Test 6 new a123 cells.
No load 4.3 amps full stall till motor wires get nice n hot 120.5 amps.
Rpm 19.000 on old school rev counter as it only reads up to 20.000 im not sure if it might have gone to the stated 24.000 then wound back. _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

120amp stalls, so I guess it would be safe to say these motors are easily 600-800watts peak. Hmm, could be a nice cheap alternative to Dewalts _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
