I'll be ready after an all nighter for the 2nd or whenever the event is set, the more time you give me the longer it'll take to finish, bots just seem to fill up time (and weight) that way. . . _________________ Jeff Ferrara

Ah I discovered the scheduling conflict about a week after we changed it. I didn't want to dick everyone around though.
I was going to turn up for the morning, then head off to the wedding. I am free Sunday. But its up to other people. Either way. _________________ Farnsworth - "I hate these nerds. Just because I'm stupider than them they think they're smarter than me."

Sunday is good for me. I have visitors wanting to come but I can`t tell em yet what day it is!?
My bot is well under way but I`m not making any claims about readiness, you know what I`m like.

How about this time, we don't leave after the event until the new bot is finished? We can stage a hunger strike too if that would help

Yeah, that works out well for us either way!
I am not totally sure Scissorhands will be running - I ordered a new steel spin shaft many weeks ago and it still hasn't shown up; no parts no play

Scissorhands is out, possibly for several events . It seems the replacement steel shaft was posted to a place I was living years ago - the last time a USPS package went astray, it took 3 months to get back to the US and then sent over to me again. Time to build a wedge I guess.

I know someone who could probably machine you a new one in time. _________________ The Engine Whisperer

Machine AND harden? I don't think an annealed 4130 shaft will do any better than the Ti one. I paid $365 for the missing part, so I'm not keen on spending and more for a part that should last for years.

you should bolt the two brushless drive motors into one of the hundreds of robot corpses you have in the workshop + a wedge on the front and give it a good battle test
