looks like a nice halfway point between the XXL and the sidewinder i think this is the same controller that used to run that magmotor powered wedge in the states?

Looks like it could be a good replacement for Victors. Very interested to see how those SMD metal fets go, their using 3 fets per leg for 200Amp rating seems, must be able to take a fair pounding. Looks like the fets might do the current/thermal limiting themselves since they said the h-bridge does the limiting itself. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

pair of new brushless ones. looks like they just crammed a few new fets and a third cap on there. should be pretty bullet proof if its the same as the old ones

same as before - theres a 110 Amp 6s and a 100A HV controller. a couple of people use the 6s one
just reading through the manual they have TONS more features then the old ones. heaps of PWM frequency settings lots more timing settings and it looks like a starter boost function also. cant wait to get my hands on one

Maximum voltage is only 12V - not so handy if you are running a higher voltage weapon.

UK and US have used Mtroniks for a few years, mainly in smaller robots.
quote:
Forwards & Reverse Marine ESC
# Direct from the UK, Mtroniks have designed the updated, more intelligent VIPER range of ESCs. The series consists of forwards only, reversible & marine spec controllers handling every job you can expect from the latest state of the art technology.
# NEW built in failsafe to protect against complete loss of signal or when out of range (compatible with all manufacturers receivers)**INDUSTRY FIRST**
# ABSOLUTE short circuit and motor overload protection
# 40A current limit
# Dual core microprocessor
# 6-12Volts input voltage
# Adjustable features include programmable punch on the forwards only range and programmable reverse (including disable) & programmable brakes on the reversible range
# 4 Layer super power circuit board
# Thermal integrated protection system
# Digital one touchset up
# Legendary 100% waterproof design
# Dimensions : L39.0mm x W34.0mm x H13.0mm
# Weight : 55g
With most of those gimmick terms, like dual core processor, industrial first failsafe and 4 layer super power circuit board just makes me want to instantly write it off as more hobby wank. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Marine controllers often have a limited speed reverse, I wouldn't buy one before reading the manual very carefully. Ditto Aaron's comments
