My brother sent me a messege saying that the Idea's Festival are now wanting an arena and full combat demonstration at the launch in 2 weeks. I have no more details other then that. We are going to have a meeting with them tomorrow to discuss how this will be possible and when it will be done.

We had a meeting with a couple of the Ideas Festival organisers this afternoon.
It is all still going ahead as planed. They will be buying an arena and donating it to our club after they are done with it.
There will also be an official program launch in 2 weeks (Wednesday 22 October) at South Bank and we have been asked to give a display. The plan is for no weapon pushy matches done inside an "arena" made of road barriers. Several senior government officials will be there so it needs to look good.
So who is available Wednesday morning in 2 weeks for a 15 minute display? 10am start.

I will lend you Marauder if you like, but it sucks as a pushy bot. I can't get there Wednesday myself.

My brother and I may be able to cover it ourselves as it will only be for 15 minutes. We should have Hellcat, Hellbringer and Desavstator running and we were also hoping to convince Marto to bring JOL. I'll also bring Sidewinder, Fury, Prowler and maybe Prancing Queen as static displays and have a DVD running on my laptop.

I ordered sabertooth yesterday and I am hoping that a rebind will fix issues with spectrum so hopefully will be good to go.

Did you guys still want me to come even if I don't have a working bot. It will depend on whether the new BR6000 gets to me 2moro. I ordered overnight toll priority shipping and it is supposed to be picked up today but I can't be sure that I will get it 2moro.

Also where about is it at southbank.

It turns out we didnt need to be there as they sent us an email that did or didn't actually tell us to be there. But we set up on a small stage off to the side and tired to keep out of the way. Fury and Hellbringer had a good time and we might be on Briz31 news tonight, not that anyone will watch it anyway. Sidewinder drew most of the coments even though it was just an empty shell. All was going well except we were in the sun and Hellbringer got so hot that the paint was melting, which caused the solder to melt off the drive motors and the LiPol battery to begin to puff. Fury continued to drive for around for 2 hours off the one battery with no recharging and scared at lot of people.
Not sure how well it all went. We felt like we were forgotten about but also had our photo taken quite a lot and there were lots of pretty girls.
