Sidewinder won't be coming. I can't get the wheels. So I'm trying to get something else finished.

no. I need wheels with a 3/8" keyed bore. I am going to have my own made but the chinese got slightly confused with what I asked them to do and they wanted to cast them. My new robot has already progressed far enough that I can't change my mind again.

Very Happy Im going to have 2 robots for Battleshed ,but i think i will only have time to run 1 ,so if anyone is interested in using "Boofhead" for the weekend then great.
It is servo switched but if a builder from any state who doesnt think they cant build a robot ready for the weekend and does have a controller then all the better,i have all the chargers and batteries etc so if anyones interested and would like to compete then please put up your hand.cheers chris

Battleshed will be upon us soon and it will bee awesome to have interstate guests with us yet again, so can we organize an arena repair and build day to spruce up the venue and get things ready.

Things to do that I can think of...

Work out catering; drinks food; anything beyond the normal sausage sizzle?

Trimming and cleaning polycarb screens

Repairing arena lighting

Repainting arena floor markings and sacrificial MDF wall.

Hanging piping and techno/ industrial decor

Organizing power leads and boards to tables; determining how much bench space and do we need "tent city" again?

Any more bodies for "the wall of the dead"?

Setting up wide angle live camera/s to pit area tv (my old 68cm tv)

Anyone! (including interstate) have any Robot related DVDs they could bring to run during down time.

I am free all next weekend and can make myself available up to the event so lets get cracking because the funkier the venue = more fun for everyone!

Volunteer quickly and lets have an early morning start so we can allocate jobs and do any shopping on NSW RFC funds. YES I MEAN YOU!

Thanks Jeff, we certainly need to get cracking! I volunteer for the lights & electrical stuff. Do we need more fittings or are the ones I dropped off before still around? I left the 500W lights there last time, do we need some more?

We should still have all those tarps and the stands are still there, so doing the tent is a good idea to keep the weather off.

I'll handle the drinks. I was thinking we would do what we did last time and have the mini fridge and the coin jar? What do people think?

Very Happy 90% of that can be done on the friday 12th i will be there then,a final number count would be good so we can organise quantities,I will organise the winners trophy
as nick said i think most tarps and stuff are down the side of the arena,i do believe a lot of the sacrificial wall was left out to drown in the rain so im not sure if theres any left.
steel pegs will also need to be chased up to hold down ground tarps.

I will bring the big tarp we used last time. Let say on the friday before.
All the old tarps and pegs are stored at the back of the arena
