well dont do what half the brits do and try running drills off the 10 a sabretooh and such.
There has bene mixed reactions with it but so far i can not fault it, i have the 25 A sabretooth and setting up was very simple and it performed flawlessly last event even with minimum shock mounting and even in a huge hit when thr brushless went out of wack it still worked fine.
I am sure if you go running 18 volt drills at 24 its probably just too much for em as when u go frantic forward to backwards itll trigger the current limiting i think but for running 100 watt scooters at 24 volts not a problem at all. _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

Well it was all over pretty quick. Just Marauder and Hellcat going at it non stop for and hour and a half. Daniel estimated 10 fights of which Marauder won them all. Have some video coming soon. I hope more people can come next time.
Need to organise a date around battleshed. Would the guys who are going prefer a meeting a couple of weeks before or after? _________________ Get Some!!!

I am fine with any date.
Andrew and Daniel have hung the arena screens from hooks. They have bungees around the bottoms of the panels. This allows some movement to dissipate the force of any impact.
It was good to have Marauder performing properly today. The drives and weapon were reliable. Turning still sucks. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

I can post the video once my brother finally wakes up and lets my log into youtube.
I'll let you decide who won. _________________ Get Some!!!

My first time seeing Marauder there, and that was pretty damn impressive.

Hellcat survived very well. That video was from about four fights. When Andrew has Hellcat self righting and flipping quickly, it will be hard to beat. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

This could just be me, but is the QLD field predominantly flippers?
Still deciding what I want to build.

I think that they are the only two competing flippers in QLD. What sort of weapons do you like? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

Primarily impact weapons, axes/hammers/spikes, but I also am considering forgoing weapons primarily and using more weight to the armour and motors and making a battering ram. Don't want to go too complicated for my first though.
