I don't think he's made any progress. I did prove however that the vcr motors have enough grunt to push a beetleweight around at a reasonable speed through a 6:1 reduction or so, and they can be had for free. Is there any interest in a 1A esc also? I need to organise myself properly so I can etch a few boards but if you can solder ok most of the bits can be got from jaycar. _________________ ( •_•)

Is anyone else building small?
As far as lightweights go we should keep the event that was a proposed lightweight round. Gives enough time for people to get one going. _________________ Farnsworth - "I hate these nerds. Just because I'm stupider than them they think they're smarter than me."

glen has been talking with the chinese suppliers.
There are a few maybes in there, but they are ~450RPM or so, they might be better with more volts ;-> _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

It's really up to Jeff as the arena owner, but as long as they conform to RFL rules (or something sensibly close), then flame throwers are very welcome.

I was just looking at the calender and was wondering if we try and slot 2-3 build days before battleshed rather than an event.
It would give us a chance to build and catch up in a less hectic enviroment not to mention give those struggling a chance to catch up for battleshed. _________________ Photos - http://community.webshots.com/album/154092733uokpXC

That round 5 date in early August was the one we just had. The next event is battleshed.
Yeah build days sound good to me. _________________ Farnsworth - "I hate these nerds. Just because I'm stupider than them they think they're smarter than me."

That would be the 13th AND 14th of September (correction) ,would it not? (Not stated on page 1 )!
Daniel, flamethrowers are allowed if it is my decision. I hope to have one myself.
Last time Bort had one it didn`t seem to cause any problems; heat or fumes wise (accept for the fact that Fork in Hell got toasted)
The exhaust fans are in place however I have still not chased up some help to clear the leaves from the roof vents and finish wiring them up. (build day project)

If the exhaust fans work then in theory ICE should be ok too? Not that I plan to do it... but would be cool. _________________ ( •_•)
