Yeah Sir Holey as named by Jake's girlfriend. Its Andrew's new cool designed vertical spinner. It won the melee.

Unfortunately only a few robots were in attendance, and the battling was definitely slow. Everybody fought everyone and with only 4 robots it was first passed the post instead of the finals setup.

From memory and based on what Flexo's fight were I should be able to deduce the fights in each round.

Round 1

Flexo v Sir Holey - Winner Flexo
Cyborg v Plan G - Winner Cyborg

Round 2

Flexo v Plan G - Winner Flexo
Cyborg v Sir Holey - Winner Cyborg

Round 3

Flexo v Cyborg - Winner Flexo
Plan G v Sir Holey - Plan G

Flexo verse Sir Holey was probably the best fight of the day, with lots of big hits and damage being caused before Sir Holey's weapon disc must have spun into the motor pulley (Andrew ofcourse forgot his spare motor). Andrew tapped out after his weapon had gone. Flexo once again flexes his opponent into submission.... Razz Though in the melee it burned out both its drive motors (thanks christ it wasnt the ibc).

@Angus: Which motor combo was your drives that you were telling me about?

Sounds like a good day none the less, would have been cool to see welches spinner in action, but it wasn't an ev it bent was it? Shocked
I have the dse gearboxes and the old school 18v xu1 motors. Having said that they weren't driven nearly as hard as you are in flexo, and were never significantly overvolted (without rate limiting anyway). It suits me because I got a tonne of the old motors from Aaron two years back. DSE gearboxes are certainly sound though.

Yeah the DSE gearboxes are up to the challenge just need to find some motors that are too. Will keep trying a few others.

Nah the motor was only a nichi ra fan motor.

Everybody check the season thread for info and discussion.
