With a bit of luck, Andrew and I may get back tothe arena mid-week to finish it off. We could really use a MIG welder as Andrew's stick welder is a bit heavy duty for the thin edges of the tiles - any ideas on getting one?
Sorry about that, I was going to show but I wasnt ready to leave untill after 1 and I didnt think there would be much point in going for a couple of hours.
I could probably come in mid week some time, how many hours worth do you think there are left to do ? _________________ Jeff Ferrara

Good work on the arena guys. We all appreciate the work.
I've been really busy lately with work and family dos. I am not going to be able to come this sat for the event as its my father in laws 50th bday, and the wife planned some sort of holiday somewhere. Shame coz TWI would be ready. Has been talk that Lindsay might drive it.
Also found a really cool kiddy pedal go kart that needs motorising. It just screams for more power!!

Jeff, It would be great if you could put in even 2 hours mid-week! We have finished all the door side and prepped all the far side tiles but they need positioning and welding, then bracing with wood. Given the time it took Andrew and I to do the first side, there would be around three hours of work left. I was going to go over for most of Wednesday but the new job is getting in the way. I might be able to do two hours in the PM but I can't be sure. If we don't get the tiles at least tacked in place and braced they will fall out on the first impact. Andrew and I left all our tools there, so you won't need much except your MIG - feel free to use my auto-darken welding helmet, and anything else you need. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Cool, Ill rock up there an afternoon some time this week then. Is there a 15A socket around, or do I need to file down the earthing pin on my welder ? _________________ Jeff Ferrara

I don't think there is. Pperhaps you need to make an adaptor lead with a 10A plug and a 15A socket - I use mine everywhere. Let me know when you will be there and I will try to come along; the work will go much faster with two people. If I am not there, check out the cardboard box in the arena - all my welding tools, clamps, gloves, etc _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

LMFAO you know its bad when you make a standbye frame hopefully i can get hyzer tacked up before the event rolls around. ill take a look at work and see if weve got any decent buttons to repair that welder with.. might see if jeff wants to go to jeff js after work or something.
I won't make it this time unfortunately.
With from all the moving house, being in two race teams, and trying to get my own car fixed up it's all a bit busy! _________________ The Engine Whisperer
