I'm doing an order for some Sutton Cobalt drills through work since I get them for Cost + 5% pricing through our supplier
I'm just wondering if anyone else wants in on it while I'm doing the order. I can get both Metric and Imperial, drills, countersinks and center drills.
I'm currently getting myself the following:
1 = $9.33 *expensive because they are so small *
1.5 = $9.33 *expensive because they are so small *
2 = $4.67
2.5 = $4.67
3 = $4.50
4 = $5.66
5 = $7.34
6 = $9.74
8 = $15.50
10 = $22.84
If you want any, let me know what size and I'll get you a price If you want a set, I believe a 2mm - 6.5mm (0.5mm increments[11 drills]) is ~$90 and a 2mm - 10mm (0.5mm increments[17drills]) is around $225
No offence Aaron but my local hardware store sells them for about that price.
Btw works out WAY cheaper to just buy the ones you need than the whole set of sizes you're not ever going to use.
EDIT: they're really worth the extra cost though, they went through the titanium near silently and only needed two bits to do all holes (one for pilot holes). They're still working fine! _________________ ( •_•)
These are all through Silvan, I'll check the prices with the product manager, I'm not sure if the prices I quote or RRP or warehouse price. Will confirm tomorrow. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Heh they might be "supa dupa" cobalt compared to standard ones i've got. Regardless they work awesome.
Not sure how well vs hardox though! _________________ ( •_•)
Well they are Sutton drills, in most of the engineering places I've been into, getting Sutton Vipers (regular HSS) are about the same prices I quotes above for the Cobalts.. Will see if they are RRP or warehouse though. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
Identical to the ones at the LHS.
The difference between those and regular bits is insane, they just don't compare!!!
Remember, lowest possible drill speed and TONNES of good quality coolent (sewing machine oil works good). Good luck! _________________ ( •_•)
I'll more likely break my 220watt GMC drill press before I break these
I'll be mixing up a batch of Morning Fresh, 10W40 Nulon and water for my coolant needs. I'm sure it's similar to Andrew's brew. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
