Got my harddrive camera. No problem with recording, it can do 24hr worth. Very Happy
Sounds good. I'll try my best to get there by 10 but as said before expect me 10 to 10-30 due to the distance. Smile
I will, however, come fully charged and ready to go.

Well my new drum bot is coming along really slowly. So might just have treadware with some repairs.

However I've got Lindsay's HD digital camera for the recording of fights. Will also get a cordless microphone for recording arena sounds and interviews. So be prepared for me bothering you occassionally or someone else.

Laughing Cool. Ey Courtney, do you have a motor already for your drum bot? I bought one from PnP ages back that you might find really usefull. It's a long can motor, with tonnes of torque and runs very smooth at 12-24v.

It was going to be friction drive. More of a lifting type design. Like mini mower was. So running it off an XU1.

But bring that motor along, and I'll see if I can use it for the rebuild of the drumbot. This is just version 1 at the moment.

The problem is I'm just teaching myself to weld using an arc welder. My technique atm is just put a glowing glob of metal on the join. But hopefully I'll get better as the more I do.

Laughing I just got one too, it's hard as to learn. I'll bring it along, but it would work really well with friction drive i think, you can put a red wheel directly onto the shaft and tighten the end nut. Smile

Well treadware is just about ready. While I'm waiting for things or inspiration I've been working on mini tread too. So i'll bring that along for beetle weight fights (angus, nick, anyone else)

All i've got is a pile of beetle parts at the moment, but I might make up something from scratch tonight for a rematch after the last terrible one lol. Laughing
EDIT: can we have flame weapons? Razz

Bad news:
It looks like Jolt & I are out for this round Crying or Very sad. After 3 broken deadlines from the mechanics, I still don't have my van back and no way to get out to Marayong. I'm having a major sulk followed by extra major beers.

Disappointing Angus Sad
You were the one who was so keen on the beetle weights.... Smile

But come on, I disassembled and rebuilt mini tread in a day. I'm sure you can throw something together.

To everyone else, it would be good to have a second camera operating. I'll have a cordless microphone recording the in arena sound. So another one recording audience reactions would be good too.
