Well Jolt wasn't much good at "folding up" Bane...
HELLO?? What planet were you on? Jolt might have lost that match after I flipped over on the wall, but Bane's axe was shattered and ripped apart and it had two or three good holes right thru it's armour. Jolt had a small chip on one tooth and a 2mm deep gash on one side. Bane put up an OK fight, but Jolt was definitely winning up until I hit the flip button. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

I just figured out the coolest bot - Retread with the flamethrower @ Brisbane . It has to be the coolest because:
The only bot to get serious press coverage with a newspaper photo.
Clear crowd fave at Brisbane
Totaly non-boxy flex design
Won even less events than the other 'cool' but non-winning designs.
Going by Spockie's criteria of "winning events wins awards", then it has to be Cobra, since Glen clearly won more State events than anyone else. I realise that we totally set this up simply by having more events than other states, but who's fault is that
Yes! <air punch> NSW wins again! _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Thanks Prong, but destructive power just doesn't win awards any more...
Let me rephrase that, I am voting Jolt as coolest robot BECAUSE of its destructive power
This is combat robots, so ripping another robot apart is damn cool
Also, I dont care how painted or pretty or ugly or boxy a robot is, its how it performs!

Example being Marauder launching you into the roof/ceiling, over and over again _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

Enough talking, start voting.
I added Pinscher because it won the coolest robot last year and Reboot because it has also been mentioned quite a bit.

ah assasin, i think u mixed matches up, retread never faced marauder.
I agree with lindsey, u can have a bad ass looking machine but if it cant do crap then it dont mean a damn thing in the arena.
like marauder is cool as its a good design, damn cool driver/owner and the weopon is freaking intense,
singularity was cool in my eyes as it defeated everything it faced
i can see the other point of view in style etc as if a robot can win a match and do it while putting on a show and looking cool but i dont think style by itself should determine if a robot wins or loses
im glad judges wont matter to me, ill be surprised if matches involving orbit go over 2 mins _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

Speedbump was pretty cool, especially when being flipped end over end by Stealth _________________ The Engine Whisperer

This thread is only about who you think the coolest robot is for 2006.
Style points during a match are another can of worms, lets not mix our worms.
It might be easier if people did not use the word style in this thread.
You can have style but not be cool, they are different things. _________________ Bots that do not destroy you, only make you stronger.
