thats the plan

i can get to pick and payless just that my dad has to drop my sister off at work around about 12.

possibly could organise to get a lift of my dad if the plan is to leave for jeffs at 12:30 or something like that.

well the builders meet was pleasant for all concerned lol.

nick, myself, andrew, jeff, jake and russell all headed to pick and payless and 4 odd hours of digging yielded 3 windscreen motors for refbot, *9* assorted fan motors and another 2 or 3 for jake and russell.

back to jeffs (thanks for the ride btw nick, most fun ive had in ages Very Happy) - all the robots went through their paces with some different configurations. scrap got the saw going once more and some dead batteries prevented it doing much.

basilisk went fine and the big 2" wide wheels worked even better. just needs the ball castor instead of the skid pad.

el bravo hoons with the 14.4v 3000mah nimhs. at 140psi i think it was it was tossing a 10kg log around (and almost going over itself hehe).

plan b is still its awesome self. had some trouble with the controls but nothing huge. did some testing on it and i think the weapon motor stalls at 17amps and the drive is 16 or 17 amps at full power.

cobra impressed me a fair bit, pushed basilisk, pretty fast, lasted a while and so forth. so the wedge, castor and parallel batteries are all thats needed.

thanks btw jeff for having us over again, appreciate it Very Happy

I'd like to add my thanks for Jeff's generosity in hosting the day - much appreciated. We found some great motors at the wreckers and $10 for a Bosch GPA is amazing Shocked It's got vertical spinner written all over it, if only I can find the time...
