I've got it ! I'll make a bot that drops smoke bombs under the opposing robot, and the judges will think the other bot has blown up.. now where were those smoke bombs we made for neighbours ? Wink

Laughing You just need some thin stainless i'd think and it would make that MDF bot a heck of a lot sturdier. And speaking of essence of snak masheen, where has all the fluro paint gone?! Laughing

It's somewhere between the MDF and half a dozen layers of duct tape.

Putting a 1mm stainless steel skin on the MDF bot would probably make it serious kick ass (More then it is!).

Just a quick Teaser after a discussion today.

SideTracked were so impressed with the quality of the bots nowadays and how well the event ran that Mark is working on some exciting ideas for another big event in around 6 months with corporate sponsorship and an even bigger production.

Nothing definite yet, it might not come to anything, but I thought I'd let you all know that if they manage to pull it off, there are even bigger and better things in the future and the builders will be rewarded accordingly.

Congratulations guys.. We'll let you know more as things develop.

Noticed he was calling it the Robowars Vic Champs or something like that rather than another Robowars Nationals so they might not be counting on getting as many visitors.

Need to be careful not to clash with NSW, s big event especially after last year.

My opinion very happy, been trying hard for some time to put on a good show at Sidetracked. Will of corse be there with as many bots as possible.

Lost and found, just sorting through a box of stuff from last weekend and found a Phone charger that isn’t ours, a Samsung. Anyone missing it?

Also sop far I cant seem to find the old Kraft TX we use with Arena Sweeper.

Apologies for the late response however I’ve been away from computer and net since last weekend. Very fluent event all in all as a result of Brett in co operation with sidetrack organizing, thanks guys. Thanks Judges I always try very hard to make the fights as clear cut as I can (didn’t have a 3 minute fight for Reboot until I fought Devastator) …that wasn’t the case in the final fight; the one that counted the most, the one which $300 and the Victorian Title was riding on!!!1… To me it felt a close one even with Eleanor on low power, challenging primarily because the sculpted sides of Eleanor rolling ReBoot over on impact…I was barracking for Vincent on the loser’s final out of sheer threat of that happening, lol.
Also notably Robowars4 was a first opportunity I’ve had to come head to head with another drum bot, my second fight saw PlanG and myself match up.
Thank you to the rest of Team Rotwang who I’ll be sharing the winnings with, Gary kept ReBoot maintained which fortunately more than battery charging and swapping a receiver. Only minor trouble with jumpy signal which fixed with the swap but the replacement was cause of my erratic driving when I fought Vincent, my flip function was glitching and hitting the stick up randomly sent me forwards or backwards.

Link to one of the Lightweight round robin fights (who won that in the end?)

This ones Maestro vs. NMO, Maestro winning with a knock out

Maestro showing his usual disciplined/controlled driving *cough*
Razz

PS. Arena sweepers control is in the outside pocket of the controller suitcase Smile
