Marayong 23 - December 9

Marayong 23 - December 9

Barely another month to go -I'm all fired up after beating Cobra and there is hardly any repair work on the old version of Jolt, so I'm concentrating on getting the new undercutter going. It sounds like Prong will be finished with Uni and back into bot building mode, plus El Bravo is looking good again. Jeff F had Singularity almost back together at the last event so we should have six or seven bots at least. Very Happy

I might actuallly be there this time. Been in Japan and then pretty hectic with work. Also been distracted with the process of getting a motorbike. But TWI is about 80% done so not much work there.

Hopefully Lindsay and I will get stuck into it soon.

probbly should come if you can if only to prove to your self that your bot works and get it past its first "event", even if it dosent compete just run it as though you were, go bash stuff that wont fight back ;-> (like say cobra)

@Jake, wise words, ha ha, no orbit wont be going at all, ill be working on it sure and will see what happens but robowars is priority

ill gladly come and watch, hang, video, whatever but orbit going 100% for robowars is main priority and spending after weeks of doing stuff with holiday and then weekend after i get back helping run chruch's youthgroup camp i simply wont have the time

@Angus, until u build something thats proven with a weopon dont u start talking trash
worset case keep making wedges and me and nick will continue to take em apart for u

im so ready to get back in the arena but there is soo damn much to do on orbit and ill be going flat out to be 100% happy, ready and dialed in for robowars

but come robowars all hell will be unleashed

Thing is unless you run it in an event format you arent going to get it "dialed in"
your best off bringing orbit out and going 3 minutes in the arena against a log and finding all the weak points now.

Thanks Jeff, it looks like a race for second & third place! Smile. The next version of Jolt is coming along well, but I'm not sure it's ready for prime time. Could I bring it along for demos, grudge matches and the melee?
