I am keen to build myself a robot soon this is cool stuff ! ... I have experience in automation, machining and remote controls that should help get me started, but first I thought I better familiarize my self with the different soughts of robots out there around the world.... I'm wondering where to buy some DVD's of competitions held around the globe so I can see what works and doesn't.
cheers
Murray
Ps ....I live in Northern Victoria but very keen to travel to see some competitions in Melbourne soon.

There's a lot of good video's already on the net. Try www.madoverlord.com which hosts some pretty good fights, and then try typing in "robot combat" into youtube for HEAPS of fight videos. That should give you some ideas! _________________ ( •_•)
I apologies also for starting a new thread on this subject on finding DVD's. I didn't realize it has already been asked possibly?....I couldn't find anyway to delete it.
feel free to delete it anyone, but on the other hand this post may be relevant as the others only talk about uploaded videos... I think?
sorry again
cheers
Murray

No problem, there is a thread for video's you might want to check out though. I'll grab the link.
EDIT: The two threads below this one have good links in them. _________________ ( •_•)

Hm, a few people obviously didnt notice the original posts intentional obscureness about *what* items were being referring to, and got a bit carried away with their public discussion of activities and named items that might upset some people who have been known to visit this forum.
Accordingly all relevant posts on the subject have been deleted, and further discussion on the subject will have to be conducted via private messages.
Sorry guys, you have to be tactful when talking about such things in a public forum unless you want evidence of your deeds splattered all over google for years to come. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people
