Hello all.
Some time soon i'm gonna need to go dumpsterdiving for some thick chunks of steel. I'll probably talk to glen about it but thought i'd make a post as others may be in need of a similar thing, and maybe get a day organised. Plus it's funner if you do this sort of stuff as a group.
Maybe just a build meet or something.
Also had another idea, after this event, we should have another "robowars testing and stratergy" day, to fine tune our robots and share our event winning experience.
Well, not me personaly but heh. _________________ ( •_•)

A Robowars testing day (or more than one) is a must - we can't let our winning streak go! _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Just two weeks to the next event - who's going to make it? I will be there with Jolt and perhaps a demo of one of the new bots. It sounds like Chris and Andrew can't make it this time, so the list might start out like this:
Jolt
El Bravo - welcome return
Roadkill
Plan G
Cobra
Prometheus
Possibles:
Jeff Ferrara's Annhilator bot
TWI
Speedbump (or replacement)
Stealth
Did I miss anyone? _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

The sidewinder is way more compact than the RS80D and has enough capacity for your drive motors. On the down-side, there is no BEC, although there is a place to wire one in. There is an internal header connector for a future SS radio, so if Chris Baron will share the specs of that, you would get it up & running pretty quickly. You might even be able to trade Chris back with a radio development...
@ Angus: perhaps we should put the event back a week and have a build day on the 4th? We can attack Roadkill with the angle grinder and get the other bots in better shape. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

No need! Good news. Tripped to the hardware store and got a quarter hacksaw so i could cut the heads off the bolts. Fixed! Oh.. and the front wedge is now countersunk...
Just gotta re-make the top so that it doesn't get torn off lol. _________________ ( •_•)

Hmm... predicement.
Dad = out of town that weekend.
If Nick or Lindsay are able to give me a lift it would be much appreciated. I'll offer some cash to help pay for the ever increasing cost of petrol too!
I can reduce my bot parts to a small suitcase so getting two and from artarmon shouldn't be a problem.
